How we test. we create a player account ourselves, start with a deposit of our own money, start a withdrawal and keep an eye on the clock. Every operator goes past the Gaming Commission's white and black lists and dig through the general terms.
This site earns from affiliate links; what we write is independent of that fee. An operator without a Belgian licence is described as such, commission or not.
What the law imposes
The Belgian framework around player protection is more firmly than players tend to expect and you feel it on the first deposit. By default €200 per week per site may go in. Reducing it needs no waiting time, raising happens neither easily nor instantly.
The Gaming Commission keeps one central exclusion register in EPIS: after registration no licensed operator grants you access. Registering costs nothing. For casino, gaming hall and betting the bar has been 21 since September 2024; lottery products are the exception at 18. The check is automatic.
